Over the past 5+ years as a graphic designer, I have had the opportunity to work with amazing companies big and small. Working on projects that included print/layout, marketing, website design and content, illustration, and even some self-taught animation.
Print Production & Layout
I have always had a fascination with physical design and the power it can have once in someone’s hands. There is no better feeling than working on a piece that has gone through many stages of approval, to finally seeing it. How a soft touch laminate, a deboss feels, or how a UV spot treatment can capture someone’s attention from across the room. And of course, one’s colour choice is always crucial to standing out and carrying the brand's voice. Having the opportunity to work with amazing printers and companies has allowed me to try it all.
Digital Marketing & Layout
A digital presence is important for almost every brand now, whether that is from social media or a website. Creating consistent but eye-catching imagery is key to grabbing the attention of the audience. Especially when it comes to social media as many people will look at an ad for a second or two amongst the many others they are shown.
Illustration & Animation
Starting my career doing only traditional art, I grew to appreciate what digital mediums can accomplish. Using Procreate applications and Illustrator program, I can capture a wide range of subjects. I am always looking up new tutorials and new techniques for both style and efficiency in my work. This is an ongoing project for even myself.
Logo & Branding
Every company needs a brand guide that helps express what they stand for and what they do. This can be shown through the logo or other branded products such as company documents and websites. A thorough conversation with the company is key to finding what will represent their goal and help them stand out from the competition.
